On the MTV VMA black carpet (they do that instead of a red carpet because they’re all edgy and stuff), Beyonce Knowles showed up in a voluminous red gown with a protective hand over her belly and said she’d be making an announcement.
When she took the stage to perform “Love on Top,” she told the crowd, “Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet, I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.”
And then after the song, she dropped her mic, unbuttoned her sparkly Dolce & Gabbana jacket, and beamed as she proudly rubbed her burgeoning baby bump. From the front row, her husband, rap icon Jay-Z, received congratulations and cheers from fellow stars like Kanye West, making for a very sweet moment.
