Andy Cohen, Bravo’s Executive Vice-President and host of the network’s primetime gabfest Watch What Happens Live, has landed a seven-figure advance to put pen to paper for an upcoming memoir, spywitnesses tell The Hollywood Reporter. Publisher Henry Holt jumped at the chance to purchase the rights to Andy’s life story after being convinced that the book will connect with “housewives who think Andy is their gay best friend.”
“It’ll be a memoir, of sorts, about my intersections with pop culture over the years, from growing up in front of the TV as a kid in St. Louis to my years at CBS News, all the way up to today,” Andy recently blogged of the still-untitled upcoming book. “The stories I’ve been saving up are funny and improbable and really define who I am today.”
And although he’s still working on a title, Andy’s already offering up a few names that have been scratched off the list. Titles you won’t see on the cover of his book include: “A Million Little Mazels, Curlytop! and Stories Sarah Jessica Told Me.”
