Despite being unceremoniously ousted from the judges’ panel of The X Factor (Can you say awkward?) earlier this summer, the dimple-cheeked ex-girl bander is gaining some momentum in her quest to break into the lovely little entertainment market we like to call Hollywood, USA. Cole’s management team, led by Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, have negotiated a cameo role for the star in the new movie What To Expect When You’re Expecting — featuring Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz — and recently reached a deal for Cole to appear on the FOX musical-comedy Glee. There’s even talk of getting Cheryl some facetime on How I Met Your Mother. The former X Factor star won’t have to deviate too far from real life in her new movie role; she’ll be playing a talent show judge.
The Geordie singer’s hopes of winning America’s heart the same way she’s done in the UK looked to be hanging by a thread when she was sacked from the US version of talent show at the insistence of mentor and pal Simon Cowell.
