Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove is recuperating after breaking her ankle in an Illinois tour bus crash this week.
The 18-year-old iCarly actress has postponed the remainder of her US concert tour after the tour bus transporting Cosgrove across country for her “Dancing Crazy Summer Tour” struck an overturned tractor-trailer rig about approximately 4:30 AM Thursday, forcing the closure of the westbound Interstate near Vandalia, Illinois.
“There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle,” her publicist tells PEOPLE. “At the time, we are told everyone will be fine. Her tour is postponed until further notice. Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support.”
So far, Miranda has had to pull the plug on scheduled tour stops in Kettering, Ohio, next Wednesday, and Friday’s show in Wichita, Kansas.
There were at least seven injuries were reported following the crash, including at least one person, who had to be airlifted by helicopter to a St. Louis hospital.
