at the Nokia Theatre in downtown LA, the music world's best and brightest showed the goods for the 2011 MTV VMA's.
Among the standouts on the black carpet were Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, and Victoria Justice.
Selena Gomez, 19, looked DDB (drop dead beautiful) in a black lace Julien MacDonald gown with asymmetrical hem, a big trend this season. The dress had plenty of northern exposure and flaunted the Gomez gams.
It was paired with gold heels by Brian Atwood, a matching clutch from Judith Lieber and a gold cuff bracelet.
Hair was worn in an updo, showcasing a heavily made-up face and pair of dangling black earrings. Heavy eye pencil and mascara put the emphasis on her eyes while a pink blusher and pout kept it from looking vampy.
The heels definitely elongated her legs, always a must when one chooses a nonsymmetrical hemline.
The Gomester's ensemble has been the latest in a slew of uber-hot looks this year where she is departing from sugar sweet outfits worn in the past. Her silver bodice full-length gown with light makeup from last year's VMA's is a prime example.
Looks like she's taking a page from fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus' book, but no complaints here!
