Will Smith and wife of 13 years, Jada Pinkett, in a joint statement on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, dismissed a tabloid report that they are separated.
"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false," the couple said.
"We are still together, and our marriage is intact."
The statement aside, the couple was spotted together at Michaels craft store on Tuesday, buying canvases and paints for Jada, according to People magazine.
"They were laughing and being cutesy – they seemed to be getting along just fine," an onlooker told the magazine. "It sounds cliché, but they were just like ordinary people. They seemed really nice."
A second source adds, "They seemed happy to me."
Early on Tuesday, In Touch magazine's new issue reported that the couple has separated.
Will and Jada have two children, Jaden and Willow, both well known on their own merits.
Will has another son from a previous marriage, Trey, who was the first to deny the story over his Twitter account.
"Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information ... its not true RETWEET!!!" Trey Tweeted. "Everyone can think what they want ... even if its not true."
