Kim Kardashian Trying

Kim Kardashian Trying

Tattling tipsters tell TMZ.com that that a private party is looking to buy the famous footage of Kim hitting the hay with former flame Ray-J tape Vivid Entertainment so they can take the vid off the market. The sexy tape, which Kim filmed with singer Ray J, was leaked in 2007. Kim sued Vivid for ownership of the tape in April that year, she later dropped the suit and agreed to settle for a reported $5 million. TMZ claims a source close to Kim says the socialite has shown interest in buying the rights to her sexy tape in the past.

According to the report, this mystery buyer has hired a lawyer in Tennessee, who then wrote a letter to Vivid entertainment, which read:

“I was approached by a private party who has asked us about looking into the possibility of acquiring all rights of the Kim Kardashian Sexy Tape. The party we represent does not intend to distribute or broadcast the ‘tape’ but hopes to completely remove it from the market.”

In the letter, the lawyer doesn’t mention Kim — who married NBA star Kris Humphries almost two weeks ago — but who else would want to get the tape off the market and not use it commercially?

There might be a bit of a hint.

Apparently, the mystery buyer wants to purchase all the raw, sexy tape outtakes and any other footage that Vivid Entertainment owns of Kim and Ray-J.
