Lauren Bush Wedding

Britney Spears’ days of looking and sounding like a woman on teetering on the edge are clearly behind her. In a new cover story in the October issue of the UK’s edition of Glamour magazine, Spears seems far-removed from the girl who in 2008 publicly shaved her head and had an emotional breakdown so severe that her father was forced to obtain a court-ordered conservatorship of her finances. The Britney of today sounds sane and looks fantastic, telling Glamour she’s looking forward to turning 30 in December. I think the older you get, the wiser you get. I can’t wait. I’m really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular. I’m gonna be in South America so I’ll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney? Spears has a thriving two-year relationship with talent agent Jason Trawick, and her seventh studio album, ‘Femme Fatale,’ is her first to produce three top 10 singles in the United States — so it sounds like she has a whole lot to celebrate. Glamour won’t be out until September 8, but the photo above and those below will give you a sneak peek at the cover and the shots inside.

When we heard that model (and niece of former President George W. Bush) Lauren Bush was engaged to marry David Lauren, the son of designer Ralph Lauren, couldn’t help but wonder:
“Does that mean her new name is going to be Lauren Lauren?”

(Trivial, we know…)

It would appear the answer is no.

PEOPLE Magazine reports that Lauren will go by the married name of Lauren Bush-Lauren.

The society couple married at Ralph Lauren’s 17,000-acre ranch in Colorado over the weekend. The dress code for the event was reportedly “black tie with a Western twist.” George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush were among the guests. Bush, the 27-year-old daughter of Ned Bush (George W. Bush’s brother) and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, met her husband, 39, in 2004.

“It was very romantic and really the perfect place–right near the spot where we first actually shook hands,” Bush told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year of David’s proposal at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art last December. “Out of all the people I could’ve met and fallen in love with. It’s just ironic that David would end up with someone named Lauren.”

The youngest son of the Lauren Fashion Dynasty spoke highly of his bride in that same interview.

“She is a passionate soul with a truly compassionate heart, and everyone who meets her is moved by her goodness,” David gushed.
