Plot: Can you survive the terror of the Mysterious Island? Popular Hong Kong actor Jordan Chan and China hot idol Mini Yang lead an attractive cast in the suspense thriller from director Chung Kai Cheung (Who’s Next). Joining them as participants of a game show that turns deadly are Hayama Hiro (3D Sex and Zen), Shaun Tam, the Shine duo Wong Yau Nam and Tsui Tin Yau, as well as sexy starlets Janel Tsai, Maggie Lee, Jessica Xu, and Anya. Opening in Mainland China in the crowded summer against big-budget blockbusters like Wu Xia, the movie still held its own at the box office with surprisingly outstanding numbers, and much of the success could be attributed to the movie’s star appeal and effective marketing strategies.
