A street in a small Texas town has been temporarily renamed in honor of pop sensation Justin Bieber.

….That kinda thing tends to happen when you christen a child “Mayor for a Day.”

Caroline Gonzalez, 11, was recently named the Mayor of Forney, Texas for a day after winning a contest designed to spark government interest in youth. For her first order of action, Caroline wasted no time putting her power to good use and renaming the town’s main strip after everyone’s favorite pint-sized crooner.

“I really like Justin Bieber. I like his music and I like him. And I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favorite singer?!” Gonzalez explains.

“She commissioned the $20 sign to be displayed on Tuesday, but unfortunately the Biebs was unable to attend the renaming ceremony,” The Toronto Life writes.

Meanwhile, he might be a baby, but Justin Bieber is rolling in moulah. The 17-year-old singer has been named as the richest teen in the world, topping a poll of the richest teen stars. Justin pulls in a sweeeeet $53 million per year — and it’s only been two years since he became an idol to millions of screaming girls who went nuts for his shaggy locks and hit single, “Baby.”

Talk about overachievement.

Next up on the list was none other than Miley Cyrus, who cashed in a comfy $48 million in 2010, followed by Nick Jonas – $12.5 million, Will Smith’s kiddies, Jaden and Willow Smith – $9 million each and star Taylor Lautner – $8.5 million. Bieber’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, has a bit of catching up to do. The 19-year-old might think she wears the pants in their relationship, but she only rakes in $5.5 million a year. Only.
