A “Hollywood insider” close to the Gagalicious One has spilled the deets on the singer’s plans to play Winehouse in a Hollywood film adaptation of the “Rehab” hitmaker’s tragic life, the UK’s Daily Star squealed this week.
“Lady Gaga worshipped Amy and would love nothing more than to transform herself in to her idol on the big screen,” the Star source claims. “Gaga’s been itching to make the transition from music into movies and sees this as the ideal role to launch her film career.”
The “LoveGame” star is devoted fan of Amy’s work, recently telling the world that she “could not speak for 48 hours straight, I was in such shock” over Winehouse’s mysterious death at her London home on July 23.
