When you're sharing the blue carpet with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, you better stand out or people will forget you were even there. This apparently was not an issue for rising star Lucy Hale. The 22-year-old actress best known for Pretty Little Liars showed her stuff in a mini dress with a sheer nude back that made it look backless and held everyone's gaze at the Teen Choice Awards on August 7, 2011.
Her dress was a beige-and-black sequined affair with an asymmetric hem that just blew the competition away. Designed by Cengiz Abazoglu, the frock was cut strategically at the neckline in several places and showed off her perfect skin.
As for the back, it went dramatically lower and appeared to be bare but was in reality a very sheer fleshtoned fabric.
While it didn't hide much, it definitely took us places we never dreamed of going in a dress. And flaunted a well-toned body in the process.
Both the front and back of the mini were revealing enough to raise eyebrows, but its neutral colors made it work.
The number's uneven hemline drew the focus to Hale's shapely pair of stems.
The bold hues of her face paint contrasted well with the beige and black in her outfit, while her hair, styled down and worn to the side, helped showcase the outfit's clever design. 
As if that wasn't enough, the Halester chose to finish off her outfit with a pair of opentoed, heel-less platform shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti. The footwear seemed to rebel against the laws of gravity, and got their wearer plenty of clicks.
She tied it all together with a few pieces of unusual jewelry and an ombre manicure.
Something tells us the girl knew she would win last night, picking up a board for Choice Female Summer TV Star. But with looks like these, she won't be on the small screen for long.
