Producers Eye Screen Adaptation of Denise Richards

Several independent film producers are eyeing a screen adaptation of Denise Richards' book The Real Girl Next Door, which has been on the New York Times best seller list for two weeks now.

Charlie Sheen approves of the book and has lauded Denise for writing it over Twitter.

"It has all the ingredients of a great movie," a producer tells the Huffington Post. "The pretty girl next door that become a Bond Girl, marries a movie star and ends up choosing to raise her two daughters alone rather than pursue her career."

Richards' publisher is reportedly keen to sell the rights, but she has reservations. She is more keen to resume her film career than become the subject matter of a film.

"All she ever wanted to do was tell her side of the story," a friend says. "She has done that and is amazed at the success of the book. She never in her wildest dreams thought she would be a New York Times best selling author."
