Trapped on a train by a crazy Scientologist — is there anything worse that can happen to you on your journey home from work? This remake of the 1970s subway car hijacking film of the same name doesn’t quite match the original in terms of quality, but it does have an interesting hyperkinetic visual style and features an impressive performance from John Travolta as head hijacker Ryder. Who would have thought Travolta still had a decent action role left in him? It also wasn’t lost on the filmmakers that the story is even more disturbing now, given that it involves a crazy terrorist attacking the transport systems in New York post 9/11…
