Kim Kardashian's nuptials are Saturday, and true to her word, every detail has been taken care of, right down to the custom gown, multi-tiered cake, and venue.
Speaking of custom gowns, three have been made to fit Kardashian's voluptuous figure by world-class couturier Vera Wang. Wang was also responsible for the design of Kardashian's sister Khloe's gown. Kim still has yet to settle on a dress even though her wedding is just days away. Each style is worth almost $25,000 each.
A pal tells Us Weekly magazine that the Kimster has done around nineteen fittings and even boarded a flight to NY for an adjustment to her dress.
Sister Kourtney Kardashian tweeted earlier in the day: "Trying on our green bridesmaids dresses at VERA WANG who is my obsession." Sounds like the whole clan is getting in gear for the big day.
The Kardashian/Humphries guest list reads like a who's who of Hollywood. Names include Demi Lovato, Serena and Venus Williams, show host and radio DJ Ryan Seacrest, Kardashian best pal Lala Vasquez, and Justin Bieber, among others.
Also in attendance will be the groom's fellow teammates from the Nets, who received special permission to mingle with coaches during lockout.
The venue for the event is none other than Google Chairman Eric Schmidt's residence in Montecito, California.
What wedding would be complete without a cake? Apparently, our girl Kim's designer culinary treat costs $20,000 and is made to be similar to Kate and William's cake. Her mother, Kris Jenner, had the last word on the dessert, which is a ten-tiered white cake with chocolate chip icing.
Kardashian's big day will be televised for a special program to be aired on E! and also receive coverage in People magazine. Not only is it on a grand scale comparable to the royals, but the fees will no doubt defray the cost of the lavish celebrations. A savvy move by one of reality TV's brightest stars!
