Amitabh Bachchan Will Use Rascals to Promote Aarakshan

Amitabh Bachchan and Prakash Jha will launch the first look of Rascals headlining Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn to promote their film Aarakshan.

Yes, you heard that right!

On Thursday, August 11, the team of 'Aarakshan' consisting of headlining star Amitabh Bachchan and director Prakash Jha, will unveil the first promo of Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn starrer 'Rascals' at a suburban multiplex.

It's a marketing innovation that is quintessentially Bollywood: killing two films rascals birds with one stone.

Don't forget, these are troubled and confused times with Aarakshan coming under attack despite being cleared by the censor board, ironically before its release.

Sanjay Dutt, who is also producing Rascals, suggested the cross film promotional event over phone to Bachchan, who readily agreed.

The Bachchans are close to both Dutt and his fellow Rascal Rascal co-star Ajay Devgn.

Sanjay Dutt's father, the late Sunil Dutt, and Amitabh Bachchan were good friends.

'Rascals' director, David Dhawan, too is quite excited, having worked with Bachchan in movies like 'Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan' and 'Hum kisise se kum nahi.

Prakash Jha was more than happy to unveil the first look of his favorite actor, Ajay Devgn's, new movie. Both have given many hits like Gangajal and Rajneeti to name a few.

Producer Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey will too be present at the event. 'Rascals' hits theaters this Dussera!
