Demi Lovato on Monday, August 22, announced two concerts in September to thank her fans for standing by her during her recent travails and subsequent rehabilitation.
The Skyscraper singer will perform at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on September 17 and at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on September 24.
The 19-year-old made the announcements over her Twitter account.
"SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE.......
"MY FIRST TWO CONCERTS!!! I'll be performing at The Hammerstein Ballroom on 9/17 and at Club Nokia on 9/23! Can't wait to see you there!!!!:D"
During a phone in to Ryan Seacrest's 102.7 KIIS FM, also on Monday, Demi explained:
"These shows are basically thanking my fans for being so supportive throughout this entire journey. …This is the first time that I will be on stage in about a year."
Demi pointed out that before her one year break she had performed on stage non stop since the age of 15.
