Filming for the Action thriller Rowdy Rathore started on August 10 with a song dance sequence featuring Sonakshi choreographed by Saroj Khan.
Announcing production start, Sonakshi tweeted early morning today:
Time to get Rowdy...Rathore style. Shoot begins today! Kick starting with a song choreographed by the incredible Saroj Khan.
Later in the morning, an equally charged Akshay Kumar tweeted:
Back to my home ground, ACTION!! Yes u read it rite, beginning shooting for #RowdyRathore today, a full fledged action flick along with Shotgun junior @sonakshisinha & the very 'wanted' dir. Prabhudeva! Need ur good wishes b4 he says lights, camera & ACTION ;)
Sajid - Wajid will score the music for the film being directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabina Khan.
Co-producer Shabina Khan has been Akshay's designer for along time.
This is the first time Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Akshay Kumar are working together, and the second film headlining Akshay and Sonakshi after Shirish Kunder's Joker.
